On-line membership application

You are eligible to join in one of the following categories, depending upon your experience and occupation:

The application form shows the qualifications required from members of each category. Your main subscription entitles you to join either your geographical region or the specialist division which represents your field, as you choose.

The divisions are Broadcasting, Freelance, International and Press & PR. There is also a Motoring Press Group and a Travel Writers' Section. The geographical regions are listed on the form. You may join further divisions or regions for a small extra payment each year.

To apply for membership, please complete the enclosed form and direct debit mandate and return it with three months' subscription. This payment will be refunded if your application cannot be accepted.

If you would like to discuss membership first, or have any other questions, you are most welcome to contact the Institute's head office by letter, fax or telephone.

In these uncertain times, membership of the chartered Institute of Journalists is the best protection you can have. It is protection you cannot afford to be without.
